To future Rally Commissioners,
Being a Rally Commissioner is SO MUCH fun. You get to run, dance, and act like an idiot and no one questions it. Remember to stay positive and maybe have an energy drink or two before. The more energy and fun you have, the more energy everyone else has. Try things that you haven’t before and think outside the box. Do research, watch videos, look at other school’s rallies, or look up games to play.
Practice rallies out loud and together because no matter what happens, something will go wrong. Don’t get frustrated when they do because, honestly, it’s not the end of the world.
Be spirited and dress up. It encourages everyone else to dress up when they see how invested the Rally Commissioners are. Spirit makes high school so much more fun. Write out the scripts and plan to have enough time.
Jeff helps with basically everything and is always willing to help so don’t be scared to ask for it. He adores Leadership and is the nicest person I’ve ever met.
Write the scripts like a week in advance because it doesn’t take a long time, Morty has plenty of time to review it, you don’t have to worry about it anymore, and you have plenty of time to practice. Practice practice practice.
Honestly, just be yourself. You’d think it’d be way scarier than it actually is. It’s like playing Wii tennis. The crowd just kind of stands there and cheers/reacts every once in a while.
