“Until Christ is enough for you, no thing or person ever will be.”
No one is perfect and I’ve always struggled with the idea of perfection. I expect people to never do me wrong or for certain things/people to provide me happiness. As a Christian, I believe that God is the only person or thing that will give me the happiness I desperately search for. I continue to seek for satisfaction in the world, but it will never be enough until Christ is.
“I say unto you, that there shall be more joy in Heaven for one repenting sinner, than for ninety nine righteous who see no need of acceptance.” Luke 15:7
I was having a conversation with Ana Perez about this verse and whether or not we’ll be able to obtain utter and complete happiness on Earth. I don’t why this verse has stuck with me but it’s always been something I find very interesting. No matter how much I sin, or how many wrongs I commit, I will still find a spot of joy in Heaven. It’s comforting to know that what I’m facing currently is temporary, and although I’m content, I will experience nothing but eternal peace in Heaven.
“If it won’t matter in 5 years, don’t spend more than 5 minutes thinking about it,” Kelly Nguyen.
I don’t remember if it was sophomore or junior year that I picked this quote but it’s stuck with me for this long so I’m using it again. I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder in June and I’ve always dwelled on stuff I can’t control. This quote has really helped me in remembering to let things go and to not let what I can’t control overwhelm me.
