Dear parents,
I’d like to congratulate you for raising such an amazing child/psychopath. You should be proud of yourselves for the years of patience and strength it’s taken not to kill me.
Mom, thank you for doing your best not to hit me when I’m cranky in the mornings. Thank you for giving me good hugs and good food. Thank you for making me laugh even though you’re probably the least funny Irigoyen HAHA. Thank you for dropping off things when I forget them because God knows it happens more than it should. Thank you for letting me stay home from first when I’m too exhausted to go. Thank you for shaking your butt with me in the kitchen. Thank you for SCREAMING AT ME in the mornings to get up because without you, I would stay in bed all day. Thank you for supporting my DD addiction and loving my friends. Thank you for trying to reason with Dad when he’s being crazy, and thank you Dad for making fun of Mom with me when she’s being crazy.
Dad, thank you for being the funniest Irigoyen. Thank you for hyping me up when I need it and giving me pep talks so I can feel like the bad bitch that I am. Thank you for going to work and supporting our family. Thank you for asking if I need money before I go out. Thank you for coming on runs with me even when I tell you not to.
I know I can be a lot to handle but, honestly, so are y’all so I feel like it evens it out. You have raised me to be independent and strong. You're at every track meet/race. You joined my boba addiction and say goodnight to me every night. You push me and support me. I know that you want the best for me and I couldn't ask for more supportive parents. Every finish line, every award, every time you do your best to be there. I love you!
