Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace within difficulties- C.S. Lewis
Living life with God does not mean that everything will be perfect. Everyone is capable of making their own decisions and mistakes, God does not take away the challenges we face. It is my life, my choices, my difficulties and God does not live any of it for me. However, God will still be there in my times of need. He will not forsake me or abandon me, but help guide me. When I am stressed, feel alone, or cannot overcome something, I turn to God. God will not take away all of my problems because they’re mine to grow from, but will guide me through them.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future -Jeremiah 29:11
I worry about my future constantly and what God has in store for me. Sometimes I think I have everything figured out while other times I feel I have no control over what’s happening. Yet, I know that God has great plans in store for me and that I have no need to worry because He will lead me where He needs me. Everything is so uncertain and it’s really hard to determine who has your best interests in store but I know God will always do what is right for me.
29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint -Isaiah 40:29-31
Everyone, no matter your age or background, has baggage. We all have problems and struggles that weigh us down and take a toll on us. However, God will lift you up and take your anxieties away. He will give you strength when you can’t find any. I have so much to worry about: college, friends, grades, sports, clubs, etc. but God will give me the strength to keep going on when I give up. When I can’t find the motivation or energy, I can come to Him and He will help me find it.
